I Am Enough
I Am Enough
Breaking Down Teen
Mental Health Stigmas

Hello
My name is Gabrielle and I started the I Am Enough project with the goal of bringing awareness to teen mental health needs in my school and community. What started out as research project for my Girl Scout award led to the building of Patriots Cove.

Patriots Cove, a sensory room and wellness space includes tools such as positive
affirmation posters, fidget toys, a sensory wall, and flexible seating solutions such as yoga mats and inflatable chairs. The use of fidget toys allows students to calm down, relieve stress, and provide a distraction from the rest of the environment. Fidget spinners, pop-its, magnetic sculptures, and fidget puzzles are the most commonly used fidget toys by students because they are engaging, reduce repetitive behaviors, and facilitate positive social interactions. Positive affirmations are great for teens to build up their self-confidence, improve self-esteem,

This project enabled me to really understand, take action, and provide healthy ways teens can identify, deal with, or ask for help when faced with a mental health issue. I hope you enjoy my site and learn a few new things to help teens or other family members stay mentally healthy.
Project Background
I Am Enough:
Breaking Down Teen Mental Health Stigmas
The I Am Enough project was created to bring awareness to mental health needs for teenagers. Based on personal experience and feedback from friends and family I decided to make mental health the topic for my project. Today teen mental health is not addressed as much as it should be around the world. Everyday teens face mental health issues starting with home and school interactions. However, due to the stigma around mental health people, especially teens, don't understand much about or have access to the right resources to get help. This project is about breaking down those barriers and hopefully helping someone NOW.
